Rhum JM, one of the few distilleries in the world that distills Rhum Agricole, is located in the evergreen Macouba on Martinique. According to the strict regulations of the “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée”. Last year we were able to pay a personal visit to the small, traditional business. Did we take the opportunity to select two exclusive single barrels for the German market? Of course!

Our “Sélection Exclusive” is equipped for demanding palates – like that of Serge Valentin, the head behind whiskyfun.com. The gourmet recently honored the two individual barrels with impressive 88 and 89 points.

The bourbon barrel for the Rhum Vieux Agricole 2014/2023 #162705 was more burned out . The result? “ I love it, […] there's a lot of different citrus fruits (kumquats, bergamots, yuzu), mentholated and aniseed herbs, fennel seeds, coriander, but also plum jams, quince jelly, mild spices…. ”
