Aroma
Lush, full. The floral (dandelion), honey, medicinal (ointment) and vanilla nose gradually fills with the exquisite scents of gum arabic. When left to breathe, fresh cane juice floods the aromatic palette with its milky (coconut) and exotic (pineapple, kiwi) scents. Note of vetiver sweet grass.
Abgang
Long, creamy. The beginning of the finish is deliciously tannic and fibrous (sugar cane). The salty aftertaste brings out compote (apple), saffron and autumnal notes (moss). At the end of the finish, artichoke hearts round off the flavor palette.
Aroma
Lively, smooth. The mentholated opening is spicy (curry, cardamom, cinnamon), pithy (ginger) and syrupy (hot cane sugar). In the middle part of the palate, vanilla pods and dark chocolate pieces come together to create a perfect combination. A nice rich bitterness.

Under the name Habitation Velier, Velier exclusively assembles pure single rums: they come from a single distillery, are distilled there in pot stills and are the equivalent of the Scottish single malt category. The complexity of these rums is demonstrated by the content of congeners, i.e. components such as esters, which contribute significantly to the aroma.
The lively Habitation Velier Renegade was distilled from sugar cane juice and matured in French and new American oak barrels. After 3 years, the experience has achieved an astonishing complexity and maturity of expression : menthol and spices such as curry and cinnamon meet syrup, vanilla, dark chocolate and sweet grass .
