For Unexpeated, the Australians refine their wonderfully fruity Australian whiskey, matured exclusively in red wine barrels, in barrels that previously contained peaty Islay single malt. For the first time, whiskey lovers will experience the peat-smoky aromas of the Scottish coast combined with the juicy, tropical-fruity aromas typical of Starward. As part of the innovative “Project Series”, Starward Unexpeated is a limited edition pleasure.

Red wine meets smoke in an extraordinary experimental bottling from the Australian Starward distillery. For this peated finish, the Australians refine their wonderfully fruity Australian whisky, matured exclusively in red wine casks, in barrels that previously held peated Islay single malt. This allows whisky lovers to experience the peat-smoked aromas of the Scottish coast combined with the juicy, tropical fruit notes typical of Starward. With the Starward Projects, the master distillers from Melbourne fully express their creativity, crafting special bottlings that look beyond the conventional boundaries of whisky production.
