Fortis was aged in 100% American oak barrels to achieve a full, rich flavor and enhance the whiskey's toasted oak and vanilla flavors.

Fortis also has juicy red wine characteristics, thanks to the casks, mostly from Barossa Valley wineries, that once aged powerful Shiraz and Cabernets. Some barrels are charred to add complexity, most are fresh, giving Fortis the intense red wine flavors that have penetrated the barrel staves. This stronger version is not chill-filtered in order to be as close as possible to the whiskey that comes out of the barrel.

A rich, full-bodied taste balanced with the approachable, velvety smoothness that Starward whiskeys are known for. Expect notes of Madagascar vanilla beans and toasted oak upfront. The palate features chocolate ganache, cinnamon, quince and muscadelle raisins with a long-lasting, spicy finish.

100 Proof was matured in 100% American oak barrels to achieve a full, rich flavor and to enhance the whisky's toasted oak and vanilla notes.

100 Proof also features succulent red wine characteristics, thanks to barrels sourced primarily from Barossa Valley wineries, where they once held bold Shiraz and Cabernets. Some barrels are charred to increase complexity, while most are fresh, imparting the intense red wine flavors that have soaked into the staves. This higher-strength version is non-chill filtered to stay as close as possible to the whisky straight from the barrel.

A rich, full-bodied flavor, balanced by the accessible, velvety softness for which Starward whiskies are known. Expect notes of Madagascar vanilla bean and toasted oak upfront. On the palate, you will find chocolate ganache, cinnamon, quince, and Muscadelle raisins with a long-lasting, spicy finish.
