In the evergreen Macouba on Martinique, Rhum J.M is home to one of the few distilleries worldwide that produces Rhum Agricole. This small, traditional operation follows the strict regulations of the "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée." The expertise required to meet such high standards of production and enjoyment has been passed down at Rhum J.M since 1845 – all the way to "Maître de chai" Karine Lassalle, who is responsible for the diverse product range of the Caribbean distillery today.

To preserve the green paradise outside its gates and minimize environmental impact, Rhum J.M founded the sustainability initiative EDDEN (Engagés pour le Développement Durable de nos Ecosystèmes et de notre Nature). Canopée (Eng. canopy) is a reflection of this commitment. This Rhum Agricole Hors d'Âge is a cuvée of six-year-old rums. At 46% vol., it leads the senses from smoky wood via dates, dried figs, and plums to cocoa beans and sweet spices.
