Complex on the nose, lots of fruit and vanilla. The whole thing with a slight smoky note.

This bottling from Nikka comes from the Yoichi distillery on the island of Hokkaido in Japan. The subtle smoke of this bottling comes from firing your stills with coal. For us one of the most interesting bottles from Japan! One of our Japanese favorites.

Yoichi Single Malt is produced using traditional methods such as distillation in direct coal-fired pot stills. This perfectly captures the authentic character of its coastal location on the island of Hokkaido in northern Japan. A balanced whisky with a subtle peat profile and maritime aromas.

- Mash: 100% malted barley

- Main influence during maturation: Ex-sherry casks and new American oak casks
