Maturation in the distillery, barrel storage in Europe, both in combination: Matured rum is so diverse because, in addition to the barrel type, it is also the climatic conditions impact on its development. With the Scheer Velier Main Rum Range, rum fans have the chance to make a direct comparison between purely tropical and purely continental rums . Behind the experiment are the Italian bottler Velier, led by the passionate rum pioneer Luca Gargano, and the well-known Dutch broker EA Scheer , in whose 300-year history this is the first collaboration .

The extraordinary series consists of four Jamaican pot still rums the traditional Monymusk Distillery , two of which were matured tropically and two continentally. MMW Wedderburn 11 yo are blends from two barrels that were distilled in 2007 and 2008. For better differentiation there are red (tropical ripening) and blue labels (continental ripening) – but anyone who has the rum in the glass can also see the difference: in ester content, aroma and alcohol content . The bottlings are available as a set, but also individually.
