Mit der Scheer Velier Main Rum Range haben Rumfans die Chance, den direkten Vergleich zwischen rein tropisch und rein kontinental gereiften Rums zu ziehen. Hinter dem Experiment stehen der italienische Abfüller Velier unter Leitung des passionierten Rum-Vorreiters Luca Gargano und der namhafte holländische Broker E.A. Scheer, in dessen rund 300-jähriger Geschichte dies die erste Kollaboration ist.
Die außergewöhnliche Serie besteht aus vier jamaikanischen Pot-Still-Rums der traditionsreichen Monymusk Distillery, von denen jeweils zwei tropisch und jeweils zwei kontinental reiften. Die beiden EMB Plummer 14 y.o. Rums wurden aus Fässern vermählt, die 2002, 2004 und 2006 befüllt wurden. Zur besseren Unterscheidung gibt es rote (tropische Reifung) und blaue Etiketten (kontinentale Reifung) – doch wer die Rums im Glas hat, erkennt den Unterschied auch so: bei Estergehalt, Aroma und Alkoholgehalt. Die Abfüllungen sind als Set, aber auch einzeln erhältlich.

Maturation in the distillery, barrel storage in Europe, both in combination: Matured rum is so diverse because, in addition to the barrel type, it is also the climatic conditions impact on its development. With the Scheer Velier Main Rum Range, rum fans have the chance to make a direct comparison between purely tropical and purely continental rums . Behind the experiment are the Italian bottler Velier, led by the passionate rum pioneer Luca Gargano, and the well-known Dutch broker EA Scheer , in whose 300-year history this is the first collaboration .
The extraordinary series consists of four Jamaican pot still rums the traditional Monymusk Distillery , two of which were matured tropically and two continentally. The two EMB Plummer 14 yo rums were blended from barrels that were filled in 2002, 2004 and 2006. For better differentiation there are red (tropical ripening) and blue labels (continental ripening) – but anyone who has the rum in the glass can also see the difference: in ester content, aroma and alcohol content . The bottlings are available as a set, but also individually.
