The result? Genuine elixirs for connoisseurs – always bottled as a small batch from a single distillery. Batch 2 of Dragonjuice 10 y.o. – Highlands is almost too good to be true. The heavily peated single malt from the Isle of Mull draws its magic from four different first-fill (liqueur) wine casks of varying maturations, the youngest being ten years old: Ruby Port Barrique, PX Sherry Hogshead, Oloroso Sherry Hogshead and Red Wine Barrique. The effect? Dirty peat smoke coats the palate, woven through with dark, fruity sweetness and hints of hazelnut.
