Glasgow is more than just Scotland's largest city. After difficult times in the 1970s and 80s, the metropolis in the Lowlands is now enlivened by a vibrant gastro scene , legendary live music, art and architecture. Drive and innovation are among the very own character traits of the “Glaswegians”. Equipped in this way, three of them took on the challenge of bringing the production of single malt Scotch whiskey back to the city after over 100 years. As The Glasgow Distillery Company, they have been distilling a new chapter of whiskey since 2014 into the history of Glasgow.

The Glasgow Distillery is also burning a new whiskey chapter in the history of its hometown with varied small-batch bottlings . The 1770 Glasgow 2018/2023 – Cognac Cask Finish is based on the 1770 Triple Distilled . Its notes of apples and pears are accentuated by the cognac finish, which contributes layers of fresh green apples, poached pears and rich vanilla .
