Produktart: Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

Hersteller: Wilson & Morgan

Anschrift: Viale IV Novembre, I-31100 Treviso, Italy

Land: Scotland

A spicy and mineral whiskey from a secret distillery with great tradition in the heart of Speyside, known for its particularly malty and clear character. Its style is best expressed in sherry casks, and for this bottling we opted for 20 months of maturation in first-fill Pedro Ximenez casks to achieve the optimal balance between malty flavor and vinous intensity. Despite the choice of barrels, the style has not evolved towards a sweet and fruity side. On the contrary, it is still very dry, with notes of red cherries and an astringent character that outweighs the softer nuances of raisins and marzipan. On the nose it shows both a distinctive note of flour and grain as well as a darker earthy touch that makes it seem older than it actually is. The full attack of the sherry is evident on the palate: very vinous, playful, nutty and with a hint of toast.
