The remote location with epic views of Mount Pisa and Lake Dunstan in the south of New Zealand is no coincidence. On the line between the equator and the South Pole, the country's largest distillery project benefits from intense summers and ice-cold winters - conditions that are essential for the special maturation of the single malt.
Local barley from South Canterbury, fresh glacier water from the Southern Alps, Manuka wood for drying smoked malt: Scapegrace lives a natural "grain-to-glass" philosophy. The result? Strong, unadulterated New World single malt whiskies with a profile similar to Highland malts
