This Nikka is a real specialty. Its name does not come from coffee, which is often assumed, but from the distillation system on which this malt whiskey was produced. These are usually distilled on so-called pot stills, but this Nikka was made on Coffey stills. This was used by the Miyagikyo distillery, which normally only produces grain whiskey. A very successful experiment for us!

Nikka Coffey Malt is the result of a unique distillation process in Coffey stills, which are typically used for grain whisky. Therefore, this special 100 percent Coffey malt whisky is categorized as a grain whisky and is surprisingly full-bodied and creamy.

Interesting facts:

- Mash: 100% malted barley
- Distilled in Coffey stills
- Main influence during maturation: old American oak casks
