The Extinct Blends Quartet draws inspiration from lost characters and flavours and re-evaluates four very different blended Scotch creations using some of the most valuable whisky parcels .

The latest and final blend of the Extinct Blends quartet, Celestial is inspired by a whisky from the 1960s that has both an extravagant flavour profile. Celestial is the peatiest and most comprehensive whisky of the Extinct Blends quartet, offering a depth of flavour and maturity that has become the hallmark of the range.

The Extinct Blends quartet has so far explored the coasts, tropical islands and cities of blended Scotch. Finally, Compass Box ventures beyond the earth and heads to the sky, to billowing clouds and glittering constellations.

Celestial accentuates the smokiness of its predecessor by drawing on malt whiskies from the Ardbeg and Caol Ila distilleries, two plots that came together six years ago for the original "No Name". Tarry notes mingle with the herbal character to create our interpretation of an older, more refined style of smokiness.
