Cognac Petite Champagne Lot 83 – Single Cask Vallein Tercinier 50.4% Vol.

Produktart: Cognac

Hersteller: Cognac Vallein Tercinier

Anschrift: Domaine des Forges, 17460 Chermignac, France

Land: France

Cognacs from the Vallein Tercinier house have been delighting the palates of discerning connoisseurs for the fifth and sixth generation. Around the small community of Chermignac, the mostly Ugni Blanc vines grow on various “crus”. From them, Vallein Tercinier distills and blends (sometimes with purchased eaux-de-vie) the finest, yet affordable cognacs for category connoisseurs and newcomers alike – including, increasingly, whiskey fans. The family business has been conquering the latter group of connoisseurs for some time now with precious, genuine single casks from the company's extensive, decades-old inventory. One of the cognac rarities is the approximately 40-year-old Cognac Petite Champagne Lot 83. The single cask made from 100% Petite Champagne grapes welcomes you with lush fruit notes of citrus, pear and mango, transitions to roasted, nutty notes and has an oily feel the palate. Distilled at harvest time in 1988, the Cognac Bons Bois Lot 88, on the other hand, leads from earthy and floral aromas to hints of cigar box and cocoa to a lively interplay of pepper and candied fruits.
