Die Distillers Edition zählt mittlerweile zu den Klassikern einiger Whisky Destillieren wie Talisker, Lagavulin, Cragganmore oder eben auch Caol Ila. Diese Islay Brennerei zählt zu unseren persönlichen Lieblingen und zeigt mit der Destillers Edition was für tolle ausgewogene Single Malts sie fabrizieren können. Bei der Caol Ila Distillers Edition darf der Single Malt nach seiner Reifung in Ex Bourbonfässern nochmals für einige Zeit in Moscatel Sherryfässern weiter reifen. Es gibt jährlich eine neue Auflage. Für uns einer der Preisleistungs Sieger auf Islay, die Kombination von Starkweinfässern und starken Torfrauch einmalig!
