Refined, elegant. The wonderfully balanced nose is simultaneously apricot, mineral, empyreumatic (hydrocarbon), vanilla, exotic (mango), camphorous, roasted (coffee), chocolatey, rooty (ginger), spicy (cayenne pepper), woody (sandalwood), spicy (cardamom) and floral (honeysuckle).
Long, full-bodied. At the beginning of the finish, cane sugar, molasses and geranium honey soften the flavor palette. The smooth aftertaste is characterized by salted butter caramel and toffee notes.
Lively and full. The opening shows a delicate texture and accurately reflects the mineral, spicy and sharp character of the nose. In the middle part of the palate there are fruity notes (apricot, mango), vanilla and fine wood notes.

Cambridge 2005/2023 - Long Pond STCE Jamaica Pure Single Rum 60% Vol.
Produktart: rum
Hersteller: Hampden Distillery
Anschrift: Kirsch Whiskey, Mackenstedter Str. 7, 28816 Stuhr, Germany
Land: Jamaica
Under the name Habitation Velier, Velier exclusively assembles pure single rums: they come from a single distillery, are distilled there in pot stills and are the equivalent of the Scottish single malt category. The complexity of these rums is demonstrated by the content of congeners, i.e. components such as esters, which contribute significantly to the aroma.
The Cambridge 2005/2023 - Long Pond STCE reproduces the Marque Simon Thomson Cambridge Estate (STCE) of the Cambridge Distillery, which closed in 1947. This stands for rums with an ester content of 550-700 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol. During 18 years of maturation, the Jamaica Pure Single Rum lost more than 75% to the angels . What remains is refined and full-bodied, with mineral, spicy and sharp notes, apricot, mango, vanilla and fine wood tones.
