The Bruichladdich Octomore 10.3 is made from 100% Islay barley from a single farm and with a phenol content of 114 ppm. Version 10.3 spent six years in selected ex-bourbon casks, always in a warehouse on the coast of Islay. The character of the Bruichladdich Octomore 10.3 is characterized by a maritime freshness due to the maturation on Islay and a deep fruitiness that is due to the distillation process. Using barley from just one select farm, this malt is an exploration of a special terroir and an almost smokiness.
