This Nikka is a real specialty. Its name does not come from coffee, which is often assumed, but from the distillation system on which this malt whiskey was produced. These are usually distilled on so-called pot stills, but this Nikka was made on Coffey stills. This was used by the Miyagikyo distillery, which normally only produces grain whiskey. A very successful experiment for us!
