The idea for AI-driven whiskey came about at a meeting between Mackmyra and Microsoft to discuss the future of whiskey. Inspired by the idea, Microsoft partner Fourkind (part of Thoughtworks) was brought in to develop the solution. Working closely with our team at Mackmyra, Fourkind built its AI solution using Microsoft Azure, providing the company with the data sets it needed to start creating its first recipes. Our Master Blender used his knowledge to identify which recipe ingredients worked well together and corrected other, less desirable combinations. As this process was repeated, the AI ​​algorithm began to learn which combinations were cheapest and produce better recipe combinations. These recipes became the Intelligens series.
