This is another cognac for lovers of 1960s whiskeys. This 52-year-old cognac was distilled in Petite Champagne in 1967 and comes from a single barrel that was specially bottled for C. Dully. What excites us about this cognac is its enormous finish. The cognac is nicely balanced on the palate and has a slight sweetness. Instead, the finish suddenly brings a tsunami full of drop fruits (mango, passion fruit, papaya), which is reminiscent of older Bowmores. So far we have tried very few distillates that showed such an intense increase in flavor in the finish. Even ten minutes after the last sip, the different fruits can still be felt.
