The nose initially encounters a pleasant warmth. Leather and dark chocolate mix with some wood smoke and nougat. Then it gets sweeter, at first just sweet cereal, then the smell of a scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Towards the end, a spicy, peppery and slightly woody note develops, paired with a little beet syrup.

In the finish, the whiskey is long and strong, ending with nutty aromas and pickled plums, before a dry wood note and plenty of dark baking cocoa are left on the tongue, which is surrounded by a smoky note.

You can tell the age of this Irish wine in the taste, manifested in a beautiful wooden spice, which quickly turns into the scone with clotted cream, which is already pleasantly present on the nose. This is followed by the heavy sweetness of intense fruit compote and creamy milk chocolate with caramel pieces, before a strong note of sherry hits the tongue. After a while the taste becomes more peppery and a slight spiciness of ginger comes through. Plum crumbles, nuts and a hint of smoke round off the taste experience.

Amber
