Whisky schreibt in Indien schon seit über 150 Jahren Geschichte. Die Geschichte von indischem Whisky auf schottischem Niveau begann jedoch erst um die Jahrtausendwende. Und zwar mit Amrut. Indiens Vorzeigebrennerei setzte als landesweit erste auf die Produktion von echtem Single Malt und etablierte ihren Qualitätswhisky von Bangalore aus rund um den Globus.

Im neuen Look erstrahlt der Amrut Intermediate Sherry. Seine mehrjährige Reifungsphase verbringt er in drei unterschiedlichen Fasstypen: Aus Bourbon-, neuen Eichen- sowie Sherryfässern entsteht ein üppiger Single Malt mit süßen, kandierten Noten von Lokum und Himbeermakronen, die ihn von anderen im Sherryfass gereiften Whiskys abheben.
